Last days at school

On Friday I had to wake up early and head to school at 7.30. They asked me to say some words in front of nearly all the students. The AIESECers also came and had a short speech. I was so nervous, not about talking in front of all 1st nad 2nd graders but because I was afraid I will cry hard again in front of all of them. Because Joe from AIESEC wrote me this the other day in the evening I had no time to prepare anything, so I just said something that was in my brain. But after a few sentences I really started crying! They prepared some video for me to remember some moments, so I continued to cry even more. Then some of the students wanted to say goodbye personally so they came to me and gave me some cards or hugged me.

I don’t like these big things, but maybe it was good way to say farewell to so many students. I like them all a lot!
In the morning I also visited the 310 (Elaine’s home class) and 114 (Sarah’s home class), and gave them my photo and some sweets. With exchange students we wanted to record some of the chinese dancing and kung-fu, so here you can see how beautiful we looked. I don’t have the video now, so you have to wait for it…

I was invited to see the traditional music club at during lunch brake. That is something very interesting, and I like the traditional instruments. One of them looks and also sounds a little like our cymbalom! Then there are “er-hu” (two strings) and “peepa” (something like a cithera).

I said goodbye personally in some classes like in 205:

Teachers took photo with me and gave it to me signed, that I can remember them. I had to pack all my things in the office, it took whole two boxes! I had a phone call from A-Chen, that he is going back home and that he wants to give me some tea, because he totally forgot about it the other day. And after school I had appointment with art teacher YiCai, because I wanted to visit his flat. He designed it by himself and it’s really beautiful. There are some modern parts and some wonderful ancient peaces from old dynasties. One whole wall is for books only, and those are only about calligraphy and chinese paintings. Then he has a lot of paintings and calligraphy on the walls, some of them made by old masters, some his own.  I really like his home, it’s peaceful and beautiful.

We sat for two hours talking about paintings and calligraphy and his home. I had to run, because he would give me so many things if I stayed any longer! He gave me some brushes, papers, hard ink, inkrest, wooden box for scent and blank paper fans. He is so generous and kind person. After this I had to go to shcool for my things, which I left in 308. And we sat for hour with Eva, YuanYuan and ZheWei, just talking and making fun… I’m gonna miss them so much!

It was hard, but I had to say my last goodbye to the school and leave… I had so many things that ZheWei gave me a ride on his scooter. In the evening he wrote me he is learning it for one week!!!! I’m gonna kill him next time I see him!!
