Week after the typhoon
This week started nice for the students , as they had two days vacation. But I was so anxious to go to school. On Wednesday, Thursday and Friday I had bout 10 lessons with students in different classes. It was fun although I feel more old same of the students call me this year only “ teacher” and not buy name.
We had a dinner with the principal on Wednesday. I was a bit afraid as she can it speak very much in English, but she invited some other teachers as slain, Irene, Jonas and my dear calligraphy teacher Yicai. They talked a lot in Chinese so I could relax. However still I could talk a little with yicai and I was really glad for that as he is extremely nice person.
On the weekend I went for a trip with Elaine and her husband. We visited a temple Qing Shui Z.. S.. Miao this one issue 200 years old and the works carvings and all decorations are very delicate. The colours are not.so.Bright and gaudy probably because it is old temple.
Then we went to another famous spot in Tahitian the White Chicken mountain. There is another temple but more new. A lot of volunteers work here and pray.also the can cleans your body and soul with a prayer and an insent
There is a trail that you can walk and go above the temple to a little forest. I have taken here this photo.I like it as it looks as the Chinese paintings, the nature but there the little teacher walk I g up the path. Actually they stepped into the photo but I like it more this way.
Afterwards we met with Rosemary and her husband in an American style restaurant. She was energetic as always although she had some health problems. She urged that she wants to take me somewhere to see the stars at night. We went to one mountain above taoyuan. From This spot you could see the sea and the airport. But No.stars at all ))).
In the morning I went with Daisy to see the Asian Pacific deaf games in takewondo.. I did not know that Taiwanese at these official events have to use a different name Chinese Taipei and cannot use their national.flag as the chi.we would protest against it.
But at least one good thing, the female champion from Taiwan won the gold medal!
